# Keyboard shortcuts

Shortcuts follow the focused pane. Commands that do not apply to its format remain unavailable instead of acting on a hidden document. Every shortcut is also in the menu bar; everything you do toward an agent lives in the Annotate menu.

## Documents and windows

| Command-N | New draft |
| Command-O | Open a document |
| Command-P | Print |
| Command-S | Save |
| Command-W | Close the focused document |
| Command-Shift-W | Close the window |
| Command-D | New split draft beside the current pane |
| Command-Shift-E | Open editable Markdown in the external editor |
| Control-Command-F | Enter or exit full screen |
| Command-, | Open Settings |

## Editing and find

| Command-F | Find |
| Command-Option-F | Find and replace (Markdown editing only) |
| Command-G / Command-Shift-G | Find next / previous |
| Command-Return | Open output preview or return to the editor |
| Command-R | Reload a URL document or local HTML |
| Command-0 / Command-9 | Image actual size / fit to window |
