CLI, deep links and App Intents

Each entry point reuses the same file-access and action rules. None is a back door around Heedit permissions.

Command line

The heedit command opens files and URLs, adds a folder as a workspace, and exposes versioned open, review and export actions. Machine-readable output is available on the atomic subcommands.

heedit <file>
heedit .
heedit open <file> --line 42
heedit review <file.md> --start-line 42 --note "Check this claim"
heedit export <file.md> --output <file.pdf>

Links and system automation

heedit:// links validate a local absolute path before opening it and can locate a line or heading. HTTPS action links carry only an opaque document identifier: they require release-time Universal Link association and work only when that identifier resolves to a document already open or recent on the Mac. Shortcuts and Siri can open or list recent Heedit documents and export Markdown through App Intents without indexing document bodies.
