MCP tools
MCP is an Agent-to-Heedit execution channel. A Skill can explain the protocol, but it cannot replace a connected MCP server.
Start with capabilities
Call get_capabilities first. Then use open_document or list_documents, followed by the smallest content-reading action needed. Markdown context, selection and outline reads require user confirmation for each request.

export_documentKnow what MCP does not do
export_document can export a confirmed Markdown revision to PDF after the output path is approved. revise_selection is currently unavailable, and Heedit MCP does not provide a general file-write tool; an Agent edits files through its own authorized environment. Annotations use list_annotations, get_annotation and register_output, or the equivalent heedit annotations commands.
